Principal’s Report
Homework Policy Review: (Handout of Homework Policy given to Council) The policy was last reviewed in 2005 and every few years it is reviewed again. *Council was asked to review the policy and give feedback for the next meeting.
Computer Purchases: Sixteen teachers have the laptops that were ordered for them. Cathy showed Council a laptop that the teachers would be using. The laptops have to be imaged by the Board and then they will be ready to be used. The portable lab may arrive next week.
North Parking Lot: There is a problem with parents parking in this lot in the mornings in order to drop their children off at school. Some teachers and volunteers are not able to park in the lot as a result. Signage will be put up, information will be put in the newsletter and a notice will be sent home to inform parents of the parking lot regulations.
Homemade to Go!: This program is now up and running. Parents are able to order lunches for their children on-line and the lunches are delivered to the school. On average, there have been 7-8 orders per day. Some orders were placed on Tuesday (Hot Dog Day) but parents are discouraged from ordering on Hot Dog Days and Wednesdays.
